Begoña Malo is a multifaceted freelance dancer, actress, performer and producer.
She usually approaches creation through play, absurdity, detail and interdependence. Lover of planning, fervent practitioner of improvisation.
As a dancer and actress, she has appeared in various theater and dance productions with directors such as Luis “Mosco” Aguilar, Xésar Tena, Renee de Pedro, Adrian Look (UK), Karen Lugo, among others. In performance with Melanie MCclain (USA) in addition to her own neo burlesque creations. She has also starred in audiovisual projects such as video dances, music videos and short films.
As a producer, she moves more between festivals such as Despertares Ballet Gala, Day of the Dead Parade, State Theater Show, National Theater Show, and Jalisco International Dance Festival.
In 2021 she founded the production company Nomeolvides with which she has carried out residencies with international artists such as Laja Martin, Adrian Look and Berta Contijoch. Through Nomeolvides she also co-produced the Encalé International Flamenco Festival and created the interdisciplinary flamenco piece Noches de Duende based on the book Teoría y Juego del Duende by Federico García Lorca and the video dance The Incapacity to Say No written and performed by her and co-directed with the artist Denisse Figueroa.
Her latest creative offspring is the immersive performance piece 7 Voices supported by the state program Proyecta Prodiciones Jalisco 2024.
