The multifaceted Felipe Botello, born in San Luis Potosí, is a composer, singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, who has worked on different projects throughout his career. He was a guitarist for the Mexican indie rock groups Bengala and Los Dynamite between 2005 and 2009. Later, he was part of Natalia Lafourcade’s group as a bassist for 4 years.
He has also composed songs for artists such as Pepe Aguilar, who recorded “Volver a mi casa” on his album “No lo había dicho”. In parallel, he developed his career as a singer and songwriter under the name “Felipe Botello y el Sonoro Rugir”, a project whose initial producers were Julieta Venegas and Randy Ebright (Molotov).
He is currently the guitarist for Pepe and Ángela Aguilar, with whom he tours for long periods of time around Mexico, Latin America, and the US, mainly. Felipe is also passionate about dancing and boxing (for which he has received over 12 years of training).
