Javier is a scenic artist, co-creator, cultural promoter, manager, choreographer, teacher, and dance performer, as well as a contemporary aerialist. He has delved into the world of interdisciplinarity, seeking the link between dance and other arts in his work as a conceptualizer and director in several stage projects. He was the Artistic Director of the Nextscena International Festival, as well as Acting Director of the Contemporary Dance Production Center CEPRODAC (INBA) and Head of Programming at the UNAM Dance Department.
He studied Classical Dance at the Superior School of Music and Dance of Monterrey, as well as at the National School of Classical and Contemporary Dance, in Mexico City. He expanded his knowledge in aerial elements in Barcelona and Québec, as well as in circus arts pedagogy at the National Center for the Arts in Mexico. From the start, he was attracted to everything related to scenic creation, uniting it with the technique, discipline, and rigor of the ballet school.
