Jesús Velasco Mondragón CHOREOGRAPHER

Jesús Velasco Mondragón is a Mexican choreographer, stage designer, and artistic director who is constantly learning. He is a two-time finalist for the Capezio A.C.E. “Award for Choreographic Excellence” in NYC, and his choreography has been awarded on prestigious platforms such as Dance Worlds, Tremaine, AYGP, and The Dance Awards.
Since 2014, Jesús has taught courses and created choreographies and visual projects in more than 15 countries. His commercial work includes names like Pineda Covalín, Tequila Patrón, Niu Fashion, Sony, Palacio de Hierro, and artists like Mon Laferte and Silvana Estrada. He is the founder of “DOMO Danza”, a Cultural project that has brought together over 400 artists from around the world in his native Morelos, consolidating in the same framework “HARVEST” Dance Festival, and “NOCTÁMBULOS” International Choreography Competition.
JVM is passionate about movement and the freedom that detonates the body. The dance styles in which he specializes are Contemporary Dance, Experimental Dance, Commercial Dance, Musical Theater, and Jazz.
