Originally from Irapuato, from a very young age, Ruben was seduced by music, especially by the genres of jazz, funk, and soul. He began taking bass lessons and soon after was part of a semi-professional musical ensemble in his native Guanajuato.
Throughout his career as an instrumentalist, he has been a bassist for famous artists such as Gloria Trevi and Alex Ubago, among others, with whom he toured many times. He is currently the bassist and musical director of the great Ana Torroja, with whom he constantly travels to play on major stages in Latin America, the United States, and Spain.
He is also part of independent projects in Mexico City such as: “El Viaje de Lázaro”, and “Barrera-Limas”, among others.
